Welcome to the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Web Site. This annual event provides a venue for over 2,000 New Mexico high school students to exhibit their skills and receive feedback from nationally recognized judges and is based on band size, not school size. The New Mexico Pageant of Bands is a nonprofit organization promoting performance excellence and sportsmanship in high school marching band competition. The 2020 POB Competition to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020

The 41st  New Mexico Pageant of Bands Marching Competition will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Wilson Stadium in Albuquerque.  Be  a part of the musical excellence and showmanship of this wonderful competition. To register your band, go to our Band Directors page and submit the on-line registration form. Due to the unusual times we are in now, New Mexico Pageant of Bands is trying to make entering your band for this year’s competition as easy as possible. Your entry fee does not need to be paid until September 4, 2020. For those of you who have your entry fee paid by your school, we are doing this in the hopes of making it easier for you to obtain the funds when school is in session. Your completed 2020 POB Program Sheet must be received by September 4, 2020.

The New Mexico Pageant of Bands Program will be available for purchase at the competition for $5. It provides a guide to the competition with information on each band and their group picture from the previous year. It is a very popular keepsake for students, parents and band staff with over 800 distributed each year. Your business may advertise in the POB Program booklet. For more information see our POB Program Guide Advertisement page. The POB also offers a special rate of $75 to Band Booster Organizations or Band Directors for a full-page ad in the POB Program Guide for your band. The full-page black & white ad is normally placed adjacent to to your band program description. For more information and to order, visit our POB Band Booster Advertisement page. 2020 POB Awards Underwriting

Photo of POB Award PresentationWould you or your company like to underwrite awards for the 2020 Pageant of Bands Competition? We are looking for companies, organizations, or individuals to underwrite our awards. Supporters who underwrite our awards are recognized in our printed program guide, on our website nmpob.org, with announcements during the event and complimentary tickets are given based on underwriting level. We welcome participation in our awards ceremony as a benefit of underwriting. Sponsors have the option of presenting the awards they are sponsoring.
