Welcome to the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Web Site. This annual event provides a venue for over 2,000 New Mexico high school students to exhibit their skills and receive feedback from nationally recognized judges and is based on band size, not school size. 2024 NM POB
The 43rd New Mexico Pageant of Bands will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Wilson Stadium, 12200 Lomas Boulevard NE in Albuquerque. Be a part of the musical excellence and showmanship of this wonderful competition! To register your band, go to our Band Directors page and submit the on-line registration form. The 2024 POB entry fee is still $175.00, but your registration is not complete until we receive the entry fee. Your completed 2024 POB Program Sheet must be submitted by September 13, 2024. Volunteers Needed for Saturday, October 12, 2024!
We need event volunteers that are able to commit to standing or walking outside for a 4 hour shift. Volunteers are assigned to jobs such as selling tickets and merchandise, telling people where to find parking, operating water stations for the students, helping band directors sign in, and telling them where to go. Your support gives our young musicians an opportunity to share their passion with the community! It takes a village to make this happen. Please consider volunteering! 2024 NM POB Awards Underwriting
Would you or your company like to underwrite awards for the 2024 Pageant of Bands Competition? We are looking for companies, organizations, or individuals to underwrite our awards. Supporters who underwrite our awards are recognized in our printed program guide, on our website nmpob.org, with announcements during the event and complimentary tickets are given based on underwriting level. We welcome participation in our awards ceremony as a benefit of underwriting. Sponsors have the option of presenting the awards they are sponsoring. Outstanding Section Awards are presented to one band in each class for the following categories, Brass, Percussion, Woodwinds, Soloist, Drum Major, Colorguard, and People’s Choice.
