Welcome to the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Web Site. This annual event provides a venue for over 2,000 New Mexico high school students to exhibit their skills and receive feedback from nationally recognized judges and is based on band size, not school size. 2026 New Mexico Pageant of Bands Cancelled

The 45th New Mexico Pageant of Bands, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Wilson Stadium in Albuquerque, has been cancelled. The decision was made due to an insufficient number of high school marching bands registering to meet the minimum participation requirement for the annual competition. We appreciate the interest and support of participating schools, directors, students, and the community.

Volunteers Needed for the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Board

The New Mexico Pageant of Bands is seeking volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors in the roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. If you are interested in supporting high school marching band programs and helping shape the future of this annual tradition, we invite you to consider serving on the board. We would like to thank the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Organizing committee for their dedication and commitment to providing our youth the opportunity to perform. This committee is comprised of volunteer representatives from high school band parent and booster organizations from the following Albuquerque area public high schools: Albuquerque, Atrisco Heritage Academy, Cibola, La Cueva, and Sandia. Thank you also to Chris & Bill Drotning and Baum’s Music. These individuals, and this business have joined with Pageant of Bands in recognizing the outstanding work by the high school musicians by sponsoring section awards over the years.
