Welcome to the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Web Site. This annual event provides a venue for over 2,000 New Mexico high school students to exhibit their skills and receive feedback from nationally recognized judges and is based on band size, not school size. The New Mexico Pageant of Bands is a nonprofit organization promoting performance excellence and sportsmanship in high school marching band competition. For more information see our About page.
The 40th New Mexico Pageant of Bands Marching Competition will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Wilson Stadium in Albuquerque.
Band Directors – It’s time to register for the 40th POB! Be part of the musical excellence and showmanship of this wonderful competition. To register your band, go to our Band Directors page and submit the on-line registration form. However, your registration is not complete until we receive payment. Deadline for receiving your registration and entry fee is August 14, 2019. Your Program Sheet is due by September 6, 2019 for inclusion in the POB Program booklet. It can also be entered on-line.
2019 POB Pins and Patches Now Available in the POB Store – 2019 POB Pins and Patches are now available to order. You can buy yours online at the POB Store.
Band Booster Ad Orders Now Available Online – The POB offers a special rate of $75 to Band Booster Organizations or Band Directors for a full-page ad in the POB Program Booklet for you to promote your band. The full-page black & white ad is normally placed adjacent to to your band program description. For more information and to order, visit our POB Band Booster Advertisement page.
Advertise in the POB Program – The New Mexico Pageant of Bands Program is available for purchase at the competition for $5. It provides a guide to the competition with information on each band and their group picture from the previous year. It is a very popular keepsake for students, parents and band staff with over 800 distributed each year. Your business may advertise in the POB Program booklet.
