Welcome to the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Web Site. This annual event provides a venue for over 2,000 New Mexico high school students to exhibit their skills and receive feedback from nationally recognized judges and is based on band size, not school size. 2026 NM POB
The 45th New Mexico Pageant of Bands will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at Wilson Stadium in Albuquerque. Band Directors, the 2026 POB entry fee is still $175.00, but your registration is not complete until we receive the entry fee. Your completed 2026 POB Program Sheet must be submitted by October 23, 2026. For more information, see our Band Directors page.
2026 NM POB Awards Underwriting
Would you or your company like to underwrite awards for the 2026 Pageant of Bands Competition? We are looking for companies, organizations, or individuals to underwrite our awards. Supporters who underwrite our awards are recognized on our website nmpob.org with announcements during the event and complimentary tickets are given based on underwriting level. We welcome participation in our awards ceremony as a benefit of underwriting. Sponsors have the option of presenting the awards they are sponsoring. Outstanding Section Awards are presented to one band in each class for the following categories: Brass, Percussion, Woodwinds, Soloist, Drum Major, Colorguard, and People’s Choice. We would like to thank the New Mexico Pageant of Bands Organizing committee for their dedication and commitment to providing our youth the opportunity to perform. This committee is comprised of volunteer representatives from high school band parent and booster organizations from the following Albuquerque area public high schools: Albuquerque, Atrisco Heritage Academy, Cibola, La Cueva, and Sandia. Thank you also to Chris & Bill Drotning and Baum’s Music. These individuals, and this business have joined with Pageant of Bands in recognizing the outstanding work by the high school musicians by sponsoring section awards for this year.
